Cash-flow & finance

A cash-flow forecast your agency can actually plan with.

Revenue looked fine; the bank account says otherwise. Which project makes money? What does an hour of your team really cost? If the honest answer is “roughly”, every bigger decision — hire, invest, say no — is a coin flip.

onda combines salaries, freelancer and partner rates, overhead and your client rates into a live forecast: true cost per hour, profit per project, and how much runway is left.

Project profitability, live

From gut feeling to numbers you’d bet on.

01 · The forecast

See next month’s result before the month starts.

Every planned hour, salary and recurring cost rolls up into one monthly view: revenue, expenses, result — months ahead, not in the rear-view mirror. Fixed-price work is tracked against milestones, hourly work against budgets, and both feed the same forecast. That’s how you know whether there’s runway left for your own product bets.

02 · True cost per hour

Know what an hour really costs — and what it earns.

onda calculates the true hourly cost per person from salary, overhead and realistic utilisation — and holds it against the rate you charge. Profit per project stops being an end-of-year surprise: you see plan versus actual while the project runs, and which clients quietly eat your margin.

FAQ

Cash-flow planning with onda, answered.

Where does the forecast get its numbers?+

From what you already plan in onda: salaries, freelancer and partner rates, overhead, client rates, project budgets and tracked hours. There’s no separate finance spreadsheet to maintain — the forecast is a by-product of running your projects.

Does it handle fixed-price projects?+

Yes. Fixed-price projects are planned over milestones and tracked against them, right next to your hourly business — both flow into the same monthly forecast, so mixed models don’t break the numbers.

Is onda an accounting tool?+

No — onda looks forward, your accounting looks back. It doesn’t replace your accountant or your invoicing; it tells you what cost, profit and liquidity will look like months ahead, while you can still steer.

How is profit per project calculated?+

Tracked hours times each person’s true hourly cost, held against what you charge. Because the cost side includes overhead and realistic utilisation, the margin you see is the real one — not the flattering one.

Where does our financial data live?+

Hosted in the EU, and it stays yours. Salaries, rates and margins are the most sensitive numbers an agency has — we don’t sell or share them, period.
